LitHub, “the best of the literary internet” is my writer’s playground. I get to pitch ideas and write (almost) everything I could ever dream of. Blending reporting, cultural criticism and memoir, I write everything from the trauma of being an educator today, Icelandic “Book Floods,” Dr. Seuss, Little Women, Wednesday Adams….and the cultural significance of the Trapper Keeper.
I’ve published three memoir pieces in The New York Times, including a Modern Love Column about being a queer librarian and a piece of personal reflections about mazes and turning 40.
