Digital Adventures

I led my school in adopting free e-books through SORA and the SimplyE app.

I started a digital interlibrary resource sharing program using OCLC Worldshare software. My public high school was one of the very first in the DoE to be a member of the Metropolitan New York Library Council, and join a national network of college and research libraries sharing materials.

We record podcasts and oral history projects. We have also been on NPR! Pictured: Molly Schwartz, a producer with On the Media, showing students the ropes.

My favorite database? JSTOR, 100% And they have a wonderful magazine, JSTOR Daily. This is followed by Academic Search Complete and Project Muse. But the NYPL Digital Archives are pretty awesome too. And, come to think of it, ERIC, an educational journal database, is also sweet…I actually get emotional about how much I love databases!

My Students and I Have Shared Research at National Conferences!

I’m part of the Open Educational Resource Movement, named a 2023 Fellow at the Queens College OER Fellowship, where I’m learning about digital organization and how to teach textbook and paper-free.
